First part of Solo Studies trilogy, Bloom (2018) draws its energy from its concentrated form. In a minimalist setting, the performance presents a body in constant transformation, affected by forces related to its private, social and political conditions, and right in the eyes of its viewers. Placed prominently on a wooden stand and illuminated by a few spotlights, both its strength and vulnerability become visible.

Bloom (2018), der erste Teil der Trilogie Solo Studies, zieht seine Kraft aus seiner konzentrierten Form. In einem minimalistischen Setting präsentiert das Stück einen Körper in ständiger Transformation, bedingt durch äußere Einflüsse, die mit seinen privaten, sozialen und politischen Bedingungen zusammenhängen, und das ganze direkt vor den Augen der Zuschauer*innen. Exponiert auf einem fragilen Holzgerüst und von einigen wenigen Scheinwerfern beleuchtet, werden sowohl seine Stärke als auch seine Verletzlichkeit sichtbar.

Num cenário minimalista, a performance apresenta um corpo em constante transformação, afetado por tensões relacionadas às condições privadas, sociais e políticas em que se encontra, e bem diante dos olhos do público. Exposto proeminentemente sobre uma frágil estrutura de madeira e iluminado por algumas poucas luzes, tanto sua força quanto sua vulnerabilidade se tornam visíveis.

In “Mar" (2020) we are drawn into a choreography in which dance transcends the limits of the visible. By embodying existences that have historically been denied or erased by dominant modes of representation, MAR pushes us to sensitize our listening beyond structures of comprehension that we already know, and thus to perceive life beyond the human, the tangible, the logical, the categorical or the bureaucratic. On stage we see a body - one and many at the same time - on the verge of bursting, reminding us of the power of nature, the resilience of oppressed peoples and that all kinds of beings, living or not, are inevitably connected.

In Mar (2020) werden wir durch eine Choreografie geführt, in der Tanz die Grenzen des Sichtbaren überschreitet. Durch die Verkörperung von Existenzen, die historisch von vorherrschenden Repräsentationsformen verdrängt oder ausgelöscht wurden, fordert MAR dazu auf, unsere Sinne für ein Verstehen jenseits der uns bereits bekannten Strukturen zu öffnen und so das Leben abseits des Menschlichen, des Greifbaren, des Logischen, des Kategorischen, des Bürokratischen wahrzunehmen. Auf der Bühne bebt ein Körper (einer und viele zugleich), und erinnert uns an die Kraft der Natur, an die Resilienz unterdrückter Völker und auch daran, dass alle Lebensformen unweigerlich miteinander verbunden sind.

Em "Mar" (2020), somos levados por uma coreografia em que a dança transcende os limites do visível. Ao incorporar existências que são historicamente negadas ou apagadas por modos dominantes de representação, MAR nos invoca a sensibilizar nossa escuta para além das estruturas de compreensão que já conhecemos e, assim, a perceber a vida para além do humano, do tangível, do lógico, do categórico ou do burocrático. No palco, um corpo - um e muitos ao mesmo tempo - prestes a rebentar, lembra-nos do poder da natureza, da resiliência dos povos oprimidos e de que todos os tipos de seres, vivos ou não, estão inevitavelmente conectados.

In "Sun" (to be premiered in 2024), Clarissa delves deeper into our shared ancestry, embracing the vast world of myths and cosmologies of peoples outside the scope of the modern West, encouraging us to look upside down at some notions we already take for granted and, from there, envision a future in which we can be on Earth in a more harmonious and sustainable way.
“In reverse, we could say that ‚in the beginning was the leaf‘. Other narratives will say that ‘in the beginning was the word’. Others will create very different images, and that's wonderful. Among so many worlds, I'm especially touched by the stories that bring us closer to the beings who are invisible to the cloudy eyes of those who can't walk on Earth with the joy that should be imprinted in every gesture, in every breath. The ancients used to say that when we set a pole into the ground to perform our rites, it marked the center of the world. It's magical that the center can be in so many places (...)" In "Sun" (2024) taucht Clarissa tief in die Welt der Mythen und Kosmologien von Völkern außerhalb des modernen Westens ein, um uns zu ermutigen, sicher geglaubte Vorstellungen über unsere gemeinsame Vergangenheit zu hinterfragen und von neuen Standpunkten aus über eine Zukunft nachzudenken, in der wir auf harmonischere und nachhaltigere Weise auf der Erde zusammen leben können.
„Umgekehrt könnten wir sagen: ‚Am Anfang war das Blatt‘. Andere Erzählungen werden sagen, dass ‚am Anfang das Wort war‘. Wieder andere werden ganz andere Bilder erfinden, und das ist wunderbar. Em "Sun" (2024), Clarissa busca se aprofundar em nossa ancestralidade compartilhada, abraçando o vasto mundo de mitos e cosmologias de povos fora do escopo do Ocidente moderno, incentivando-nos a olhar de cabeça para baixo algumas noções que já tomamos como certas e, a partir daí, vislumbrar um futuro em que possamos estar na Terra de forma mais harmoniosa e sustentável.
„De ré, poderíamos dizer que ‚no princípio era a folha‘. Outras narrativas vão dizer que ‚no princípio era o verbo‘. Outras ainda vão criar paisagens bem diversas, e isso é maravilhoso. Entre tantos mundos, me sinto especialmente tocado pelas histórias que nos aproximam dos seres invisíveis aos olhos turvos de quem não consegue andar na Terra com a alegria que deveríamos imprimir em cada gesto, em cada respiro.
